Yes, Little Green Footballs is correct... the jubilant thongs in the streets of Baghdad are there in our name, those of us that supported military action against Saddam all along despite the naysayers. It's not in the name of these Hollywood liberals, but, as Rush Limbaugh pointed out, is there any collective group of people whose opinions are more irrelevant and more uniformed than those of the Hollywood left. Now I've seen what the so-called "Arab Street" really thinks of Americans, the British and Australians, and it seems to be a lot more positive, and pro-American when you actually give them the freedom to truly speak their minds. Iranian dissident Amir Taheri wrote this brilliant piece on National Review Online about how "Iraqis, and Arabs in general, are no different from other human beings." I'd quote more, but it's too short.
In other news, I found something interesting linked from the Celebrity Liberal Blacklist... George Carlin hopes an Iraqi or other Middle Eastern terrorist will assassinate President Bush with a bag of anthrax.
