...loving these obtuse references I put in this blog sometimes.
Well, it's not a "Gyro" cheque ("Gyro" = British Welfare, though I don't know if they still use that term), but the Magical GST/HST** Rebate Fairy left a cheque for me for $53.25 (Canadian) in my mailbox today... ooh, what should I buy? I think it will be either the latest volume of the shoujo anime (girls' cartoon) Revolutionary Girl Utena on DVD, which I spotted at the big Archambault book/music/video store at the corner of Ste. Catherines and Berri on Friday, or Sonic Advance 2 for the Game Boy Advance.
**GST = Goods and Services Tax (sales tax), HST = um... actually, I have no fucking idea what it stands for, to be perfectly honest. Here in Quebec, we also pay a Provincial Sales Tax, but "Provincial" starts with P, not H.
