I must say, though, despite all the nasty, ugly, heated, fanboyish invective aimed at poor Julie McBride-Wyatt on anime message boards everywhere, none of the major anime news or information sites which I look at on a regular or semi-regular basis went the sensationalist route and gave the sincere-but-misinformed op-ed on FLCL more attention than it deserved. So, Anime News Network, Anime News Service, Anime On DVD, and Anime Nation news page, please give yourselves a well-deserved pat on the back for staying above the fray entirely by simply not mentioning it at all.
