R.I.P. WESLEY WILLIS
Not that I was at all familiar with his music beyond the "Alanis Morissette" song, paying tribute to the Canadian singer and former You Can't Do That On Television cast member, and I'm only familiar with that song because the video for it was featured on one of Ed the Sock's year-end Fromage specials on Much Music, showcasing the year's worst achievements in the field of music videos, a couple of years back, but, still, I know novelty pop fans everywhere are in mourning. Here's a Wesley Willis page, dedicated to the schizophrenic Chicago musician (actually... he talked more than sang during his songs). And here's another one. And... ooh... an early X-Entertainment tribute to him (one of the few X-E articles written by "liquorhead" instead of Matt Caracappa, it seems). He died from "chronic myelogenous leukemia".
Thanks to RottenTomatoes.com forum poster fabfunk3 for alerting me to his death in this thread.
