I was going to write about a couple of political things tonight, because I haven't written much here about politics lately, but I guess they'll keep.

Oh, okay, so my father kept me updated from Lakeshore General Hospital all evening. It took a couple of hours for them to get around to examining her (Canadian medicine...), but they think it was just garden variety gastro-enteritis, nothing more serious like a heart attack or stroke. They'll keep her under observation for an hour or so more, but, hopefully, she'll be home by 2 a.m.

My sister was hysterical when I first called her... my brothers were a little more cool, but she called them first. I was able to reach my sister and my brother in Toronto to tell them it was nothing major, but not my brother at film school in Colorado, so I only left a message on his machine.

I did this thread in the Anime Nation "General" (non-anime) forum about my mother's collapse, if anyone wants to read more, but I didn't write too much.

Well, I don't know quite how to write this... I'm cooped up in my parent's bedroom with our two dogs right now to keep them from getting in the way. My mother got dizzy and pretty much collapsed on the couch in the living room, and they had to call an ambulance and they're examining her. That is all I can say at the moment.

STEVE AL-MORGAN FREEMAN

I couldn't believe it happened to me. For the last little while, I was angry at Morgan Freeman, because I don't think he was doing a good enough job at being Morgan Freeman** lately and I started thinking I could do a much better job at being Morgan Freeman, so, just now, I found myself in this all white room and there's Morgan Freeman in a white suit, and, since I think I could do better, he's given me all his powers for a week. So now I have all of Morgan Freeman's powers. I think I'll go and narrate some Spidey shorts for The Electric Company

Just kidding. I'm pondering seeing Bruce Almighty, but the reviews I've been reading aren't too good, and I still haven't seen Matrix Reloaded (which neither of my brothers liked too much, and one of them is a big fan of the first Matrix) and I still have to re-watch X2 so I can finally do a proper review of it here.

**Like his appearing in the The Sum of All Fears for example, a movie that removed the Islamic terrorist angle from the Tom Clancy novel and made the film toothless and pointless.
