FINALLY!

Geez, I finally got my GST/PST sales tax rebate cheque today, over two weeks after my parents received theirs. I was beginning to worry that the government sent it to the wrong address. I will admit to procrastinating on several "change of address" forms, and the people who live at my old address may be getting annoyed at the pieces of mail addressed to me they're receiving, but I assumed that the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency would know my new address because of my income tax form. I guess they did, but I have no idea what took them so long to get the cheque to me.

And one thing that makes me go "FAYUH-UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH-CKUH IT, I WISH I HAD GOTTEN THE CHEQUE ON FRIDAY!" was that, on Saturday, HMV had a super-special one day only sale where, with this card you got in the mail and/or newspaper, you could get two for one for virtually any regularly-priced DVDs (though you pay the price of the more expensive DVD, obviously), and I believe that could have included TV series boxsets, so, if I had gotten the cheque just three days earlier, I probably would have sprung for both the fourth-season King of the Hill set and maybe either the third season of Seinfeld or one of the boxes of Family Guy, since I don't have any Family Guy on DVD yet (though I've seen the DVDs when my brother brings them over when he's visiting). Or maybe season six of South Park, which is the best season. I don't actually have any seasons of South Park on DVD, though I have a whole bunch of the "best of" DVDs for the equivalent of about two season's worth of episodes. I'll probably still buy the fourth King of the Hill set over the next week or so (I'll shop around, though), but, eh, it's a pisser not being able to buy two seasons of stuff.

I'm in the finishing touches phase of drawing now, but it's taking a while. When I'm finished, which should be by Wednesday, I'll take both that one and the Piccadilly Circus one to Mailboxes Etc. and see if I can get a proper scan for them, so I don't have to mush the sections together in Photoshop, if they have a scanner bed big enough.

Oh, yes, I actually got a job interview for Wal-Mart! And it's tomorrow afternoon, so I'll try to get to bed early. Early by my standards. Meaning, around 3 a.m.
