"HOW MUCH LEFT TO DRAW, PAPA SMURF?"

(Not much now!)

I haven't been blogging much this week because I've been too busy working on my long-unfinished-due-to-procrastination drawing of my photo of an Asian girl photographing a classic Austin-Healey car at a display of classic, mostly British, cars on Peel street in Montreal in June 2001.

I wanted to show you how I've been doing, but it's something like 95% complete, and will almost surely be completed by the end of Saturday, so it's not really worthwhile doing a scan.

So have a blurry photo instead.

Yep, it's a photo of a picture I'm drawing of an Asian girl taking a photo of an Austin-Healey, and the photo the picture is based on is next to the picture.

I hope you could follow all that!

You know what would really be mind-blowing, though? If I found the picture that the girl took. And, believe you me, I've checked all the major photo sites, though she might not necessarily know that the car is called an "Austin-Healey". I sure didn't until fairly recently.
